Project Assurance WorkshopThis one-day workshop is designed to clarify the role of Project Assurance, as defined by the PRINCE2TM Method, and to provide practical advice on preparing for and undertaking the role. The role of Project Assurance is relevant to any project, not just those run under the PRINCE2TM method.
It will be of particular benefit for Project Managers and senior managers wishing to understand the role and how it affects them, and for people likely to be charged with Project Assurance responsibilities.
Pre-requisites
None, although it is assumed that delegates have some understanding of working in a project environment.
Objectives
Attendance on this workshop will enable delegates to:
- Understand the Project Assurance role and the associated benefits and implications
- Prepare for undertaking the role, including scoping and clarifying responsibilities
- Appreciate and consider a number of tools and techniques which could help in undertaking the role.
Format
The course will consist of trainer led sessions, group exercises and individual exercises to consolidate and confirm knowledge. Each session will have clearly defined learning objectives and delegates will be encouraged to fill in their own action plan to enable them to put their skills into practice back at the workplace. There will be opportunity for delegates to bring up any specific issues related to their work and discuss them with relation to the topics covered.
