What is the APMP?
The APMP is a qualification that recognises an individual's baseline knowledge in Project Management. The Association awards it for Project Management, the UK professional project management association. It is the first of its kind in the UK and is designed for Project Management professionals in any industry. It is appropriate for people working in the management of projects ranging from individual assignments through to large capital projects or company organisational changes. It confirms one's position at a baseline level in project management.
The Association for Project Management (APMP) examination is the first stage in the route to becoming an APM Certified Project Manager and will eventually become a pre-requisite for full membership of the APM.
This qualification is rapidly becoming a widely recognised guarantee that the holder is a knowledgeable practitioner of Project Management and that he/she has formally demonstrated this professional capability by examination.
The APMP is increasingly being mandated by major companies and organisations as a required qualification for those wishing to progress through their Project Management Career structures. This course is based entirely on the APM Body Of Knowledge (APMBoK), which defines those topics in which professional Project Managers should be knowledgeable and competent.
